DESCRIPTION:The I.M.A. Recording\, Engineering & Production Program is CLOSED.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n\n\n\n\nGet your recording chops together in supportive and empowering environment. \n\n\n\nThe Studio Recording\, Engineering and Producing Program is for girls and women ages 16 and up who want to gain a better understanding of the recording process from demo to final product. Students will develop skills to work in a professional studio as well as improving their home studio techniques as they acquire recording and production basics in a hands-on\, deeply creative\, synergetic environment. \n\n\n\nThe Session will cover: \n\n\n\n\nThe basics of sound recording while working on a large format analog console and a Digital Audio Workstation\n\n\n\nMicrophone selection and placement\n\n\n\nHow to set up a recording space at home\n\n\n\nSong pre-production: finalizing the arrangement\, choosing the right key and the right tempo\n\n\n\nHow to produce a vocal session\, how to sound your best\, and strategies for recording back up vocals\n\n\n\nHow to approach and record overdubs\n\n\n\nHow to comminicate with musicians\, engineers\, and producers\n\n\n\nDAW editing skills\n\n\n\nMixing basics\n\n\n\n\nBuild connections\, collaborate with like-minded musicians and walk away with a recording you have created from scratch.
