Live from I.M.A.’s Big Barn!


Satoko Fujii Tokyo Trio in concert Monday, March 31st at 7:30 p.m. in I.M.A.’s Big Barn!

Pianist and composer Satoko Fujii is one of the most original voices in Jazz today. For more than 25 years, she has created unique, personal music that spans many genres, blending Jazz, contemporary Classical, Rock, and traditional Japanese music into an innovative synthesis instantly recognizable as hers alone. Satoko Fujii teams up with two fo Japan’s hottest improvisors, Natto Maki (bass), and Oden (drums), to form the Tokyo Trio. They have released two albums, “Moon on the Lake” (2021) and “Jet Black” (2024).

Tickets are $15.00 at the door. A Jazz Shares production in conjunction with the Institute of the Musical Arts.
